Have you ever had a hobby that you never thought could turn into a career? Well, that's exactly what happened to me. I never thought that I would become an illustrator, moreover, I never thought that I would make money from my drawing. But here I am, living proof that dreams can come true, even for self-taught artists like me.

How It All Began
About 5-6 years ago, I decided to embark on a journey of self-discovery through art. Armed with nothing but a pencil and a dream, I started learning to draw on my own. Little did I know that this seemingly innocent hobby would change my life forever.

As I honed my skills and experimented with different techniques, I began to gain confidence in my abilities. But still, the thought of making a living from my art seemed like a distant fantasy. I mean, who would pay for my doodles, right?

Then, one fateful day in 2019, everything changed. I received an offer from a publisher and a writer to illustrate a book. At first, I was overwhelmed with fear and self-doubt. "I have no experience! I have no knowledge! I draw poorly!" I exclaimed, ready to decline the offer without a second thought.

But the author and publisher saw something in me that I couldn't see in myself. They believed in my potential and were willing to take a chance on me. And so, with a mix of excitement and trepidation, I accepted the offer and embarked on my first serious project as an illustrator.

When it came to creating the illustrations for the book,  I drew everything by hand, using ink and watercolor. Of course, now I see that the art turned out to be weak, but all the illustrations were drawn live on paper - this is not digital art.

As I poured my heart and soul into the project, I started to realize that my passion for drawing could actually be a viable career path. The positive feedback from the author, the publisher, and eventually the readers, gave me the confidence to pursue my dreams further.

Since that first book, I've had the opportunity to work on several other projects, each one pushing me to grow and evolve as an artist. I never imagined that my doodles would turn into dollars, but here I am, living proof that dreams can come true.

So, if you have a hidden talent or a passion that you've been keeping to yourself, I encourage you to embrace it. You never know where it might lead you. Take a leap of faith, just like I did, and who knows, you might just find yourself on an unexpected journey to success.
