 The people called "wolfberry" several fruit bushes or plants having different bright colors of poisonous berries. This is what they call belladonna, buckthorn, raven eye.

  Eating berries can cause death, depending on the amount eaten. The poison spreads very quickly throughout the body and affects all body systems. Chemical composition which makes the plant so poisonous are meserein and daphnin glucoside. Also berries contains tannins, flavonoids, mineral salts, wax, gum.
